Meet Stephen R. Stapleton, JD
Stephen R. Stapleton is a proud native of California, born in Red Bluff and raised in Sacramento. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Arts Administration, specializing in the management of non-profit organizations, from the University of the Pacific. Steve continued his education at Humphreys University's Drivon School of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctorate in 2012. Since that time, he has been passionate about serving clients and making a positive impact through his work.
During law school, Steve excelled academically, achieving top honors in Community Property and high rankings in Real Property, Wills, and Trusts. He operated the Expungement Clinic throughout his three years in law school, returning after graduation as a volunteer to continue assisting individuals. He was among the first participants in the San Joaquin County Alternative Resolution Court for Parole Re-entry, representing parolees as they worked toward reintegration into society. Additionally, Steve demonstrated his exceptional legal skills by winning the Mock Trial Competition in his final year, and he successfully passed the bar exam on his first attempt.
Throughout his career, Steve has actively supported the justice system in multiple roles. He was part of Strategic Legal Group’s pioneering efforts in litigating cases under California's Homeowner Bill of Rights. He also served as senior paralegal for Mark Choi Law, assisting the South Korean Consul for Sacramento in representing South Korean companies in their commercial dealings with U.S.-based entities.
